Vocational training is an essential part of special education. The aim of vocational education is to train students in skills necessary to get employment opportunities for independent living. It includes specialized training and practical sessions for the children.
Srishti Special School has a specialized Bakery Unit to train children of Vocational Unit which includes children with down -syndrome, developmental delay, autism, cerebral palsy and other neurodevelopmental disorders, in the art of baking. The unit was started with the aim of developing skills needed for the children to become financially independent as they transition into adulthood.
We teach the techniques of baking along with good hygiene. Once they have mastered their skills, they will be ready for a workplace that values their potential and proficiency.
