Children with Autism often have difficulties in verbal speech and non-verbal communication. This condition makes it difficult for children to communicate and interact socially. Some children may not be able to speak at all or may have limited speaking abilities while others may be able to talk about specific subjects in great detail.
Speech therapy is the assessment and treatment of communication problems and speech disorders. It is performed by speech-language pathologists (SLPs), which are often referred to as speech therapists.
Speech therapists at Srishti help children with autism refine their spoken language, improve non-verbal skills, or learn to use other communication methods. We train parents in different approaches to improving their child’s communication that are tailored to the child’s abilities, communication contexts, and family needs.
